The Regeneration Vision

The vision for Locking Parklands is the creation of a highly sustainable, integrated mixed-use community that will deliver:

• 25 hectares of high-quality business accommodation
• a 3,000 sq m Incubator Centre for high-tech company start-ups
• 4,000 new jobs
• 1,800 new homes in landscaped parklands
• a new library, school, leisure and community facilities
• excellent local services and convenient public transport.

Locking Parklands will become an attractive place to live and work, served by excellent local facilities and public transport services. It will benefit from affordable accommodation with nearly 20% of the new homes designated for first-time buyers.

The site is located within easy reach of the M5, yet open grassland will surround much of the site. Trees and shrubs will provide natural habitats for wildlife and recreational activities.
