People make places special, and we are proud to be building a brand new community at Locking Parklands. Community matters, and it comes from sharing ideas, opinions and interests.
St. Modwen is committed to working closely with residents – both existing and new at Locking Parklands. We share regular news and progress updates, keeping everybody in the loop.
We also work in partnership with the Locking Parklands Resident Representatives, and we participate in the Parklands Stakeholder Group which involves the wider communities around Locking Parklands.
We will continue to engage with the whole community and consult you on future plans as they come forward, giving you the opportunity to shape the environment as it develops.

Read MoreThe Radio Wing – Community Centre
Locking Parklands is a highly dedicated community that is wholly invested in growing, learning, and coming together for the benefit of all residents. At its heart is the Radio Wing, a thriving community hub which is available for hire and hosts a range of activities, as well as recently serving as a community vaccination centre.
Community spaces
People need spaces to meet and gather. The new District Centre will be at the heart of Locking Parklands and will include something for every member of the family, including a market hall, central park, diverse high street, and play areas for the little ones.
St Modwen is committed to creating places that improve residents’ quality of life, through things like ensuring everyone has access to green, leisure, play and recreational spaces. At Locking Parklands, there are over 80 acres of green space including an Arboretum, which was part of the original RAF base. Many of the trees were planted in memory of fallen officers, and St Modwen has plans to honour and expand the Arboretum with a large-scale tree re-planting programme.
